First Rain
Suddenly, everyone heard the rushing sound of the raging wind. We all ran outside and saw a very small, black cloud. We thought that it was going to miss us, but to our surprise, the cloud expanded. Soon it became a HUGE orange wave! "A DUST STORM!" Ray shouted. 
We all went rushing around, shutting windows and screaming our heads off. Soon I heard rain on the roof! I shouted Miss B., "it’s raining!" All of the kids raced outside to dance and scream in the rain. ~sara

That was the first rain of 2007 in NIAMEY, everyone was excited!! I was so excited too!!! We all went outside and played under the rain.. We all got wet in clothes and all went home with a very memorable time!!! Whooo!! I hope we can have another time like this~~ THank You My Lord for the cool rain you gave us!

Actually, I thought the little dust grains hurt when they hit my legs and neck, especially the neck.
Other than that, it was fun. It took about four dudes to tackle me.

wow, i miss the first rains in niger….we always played in them no matter what time of day or night it was!

I was so in love with dust storms and I am still in love with it^^
